My dear readers,
It's finally almost here! The first book of new Historical Fiction series is now in pre-order.
"The Mist of Trasimene" is the first book in the "Greatest Enemy" trilogy that takes you on a thrilling journey with Ducarius, an Insurbrian cavalryman on the march with a man from Carthage who has just descended on Italy doing what seemed impossible, cross the Alps.
But Ducarius has his own agenda and unrested demons, and you will have a close view on his epic journey.
I wanted to put the focus on the regular rank-and-file, just as I did in my Spartacus trilogy, and take you through their gritty and hard lives, because these men and women are often forgotten in the bright glory of those who used and discarded them.
I loved writing book I, and the book II and III will follow later this year. But I didn't want to wait to finish them all before getting the first out to you, but rest assured they're coming. If you enjoyed my Cleopatra or Spartacus books, I'm (reasonably) confident you'll love these. If you haven't tried any yet, why wait?
Wait, What?
Well, want some light reading and learn a few things along the way? Here’s something you could try!
It seems the Aliens built the Pyramids. Atlantis was real. Caesar torched the world's greatest library.
You've seen the viral posts, the shocking memes, and the clickbait headlines. But in a world clogged with historical half-truths, what’s the real story?
Well, that’s all for now. You’’hear from me again once the Mist of Trasimene releases, and until then, I’ll be busy working on the 2nd book of the series because Ducarius has much, much to do.
Have a wonderful, wonderful week ahead,
Jay
